Job Overview:
AL QARO ROADS CONTRACTING LLC is seeking a skilled Draftsman (Infrastructure) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, plans, and designs for infrastructure projects such as roads, highways, bridges, utilities, and other civil engineering works. You will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure that project plans meet industry standards, local regulations, and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
\u2022 Prepare Infrastructure Drawings: Create accurate, detailed, and clear technical drawings for infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, drainage systems, and other civil engineering components.
\u2022 CAD Software Proficiency: Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other CAD software tools to produce design drawings, layout plans, cross-sections, and profiles.
\u2022 Collaborate with Engineers: Work closely with civil engineers and project managers to understand design requirements and ensure that drawings meet project specifications.
\u2022 Revisions & Modifications: Revise drawings based on feedback, site conditions, or design changes, and ensure the updates are reflected in the project documentation.
\u2022 Site Visits & Surveys: Visit project sites when necessary to verify site conditions, measure dimensions, and ensure the accuracy of the drawings.
\u2022 Documentation: Maintain an organized record of all drafts, revisions, and project documents for easy access and retrieval.
\u2022 Ensure Compliance: Ensure all designs are in compliance with local codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
\u2022 Support Project Progress: Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and project documentation, ensuring timely and accurate project completion.
\u2022 Quality Control: Ensure that all drawings are accurate, complete, and conform to the company\u2019s quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
\u2022 Education: Diploma or degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
\u2022 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Draftsman, with specific experience in infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, bridges, etc.).
\u2022 CAD Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other drafting software tools. Experience with 3D modeling and GIS software is a plus.
\u2022 Attention to Detail: Ability to produce precise, error-free drawings and ensure the accuracy of all project plans.
\u2022 Knowledge of Infrastructure Standards: Familiarity with infrastructure design standards, construction codes, and regulations.
\u2022 Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
\u2022 Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve design challenges or discrepancies during the drafting process.
\u2022 Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
\u2022 Certifications: Certification in AutoCAD or other relevant design software is a plus.
\u2022 Industry Experience: Experience in the drafting of large-scale infrastructure projects such as roads, highways, bridges, and utilities.
